How do I apply for a role?: Browse the job listings on this website and click "Apply" on any role that interests you. You will be asked to submit your CV and a short covering statement. One of our consultants will then be in touch within two working days.
What documents will I need to provide?: You will typically need to provide: a current CV covering the last 10 years; proof of identity (passport or birth certificate); proof of address (dated within the last 3 months); evidence of your qualifications (degree certificate, PGCE, QTS certificate); two professional references, one of which must be your most recent employer; and an enhanced DBS certificate (or we can arrange one through our service).
Do I need Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) to apply?: It depends on the role. Permanent teaching positions in state-maintained schools require QTS. However, many day-to-day supply roles and support staff positions do not. Check the individual job listing for the requirements, or contact us if you are unsure.

Is ClassRecruitment free to use for candidates?: Yes. Our service is completely free of charge for candidates. We are paid by the schools and institutions that hire through us, so there is no cost to you at any stage of the process.
What areas do you cover?: We operate across England and Wales, placing candidates in primary schools, secondary schools, sixth forms, independent schools, and alternative provision settings.

Will ClassRecruitment help me prepare for interviews?: Yes. Once you are put forward for a role, your consultant will brief you on the school, the interview format, and the competencies the hiring manager is likely to focus on. We are here to help you put your best foot forward.
What should I bring to a school interview?: Bring a copy of your CV, your original identity documents, original certificates of qualification, and your DBS certificate if you have one. Arrive at least 10 minutes early and dress professionally.

How does supply teaching work?: Supply teaching means covering lessons at short notice when a school needs temporary staff. You can register your availability with us and we will call or message you when a placement arises. You choose whether to accept each booking.
